Mommo and Pop are so in Love with the new boy!

The last time Pop was able to hold Joseph

It has been a hectic month for us. We are so sad to have lost Big Joe (Joseph's Pop) to brain cancer on November 28th.We will miss him greatly but we know that he loved Jesus with all his heart and he is resting with Him. We were so blessed to have had him in our lives. He was such an amazing father, grandfather and friend. We are so glad that he was there to see Joseph's birth. Joseph was named after 4 wonderful men and has big shoes to fill!! Thanks to all for your prayers and support during this tough time. We couldn't have made it through without you.

Catching Up!!!

We've been sidetracked over the past weeks keeping everyone updated. Mr. Harper (Big Joe) is very sick and we've been splitting time in Columbia and Mt. Pleasant. Please visit the website to find out more about Big Joe-

This has given us a chance to spend some quality time with our family! Here's some pictures of Joseph with his Great Grandparents Meme and Papa a few weeks ago. Too Sweet!!!!

We had so much fun when my friend Anna Weaver came over to take pictures of Joseph. He was hard to capture a good photo of because every time Joe would set him down he would wake up and scream. It was a hoot. Thanks Anna for being so patient!!

Being a parent is the BEST! Yeah we are tired but it is soooo worth it. Joseph has brought us so much joy already and we love watching him grow each day.

Going Home...

We were discharged from the hospital today, Yay!!! Joe drove us home while I sat in the back seat with our new "precious cargo". I honestly can't stop staring at him, God is good! We got home and immediately introduced Joseph to his older sister Bailey (our 9-year old dog). Bailey is very interested in Joseph, super sweet around him and can't stop giving him kisses. It feels wonderful to be in our house as a family with him in our arms. We'll keep you posted...

Nursery Pictures

Joseph's Nursery

We have been working on Joseph's nursery since we were 21 weeks pregnant. Joe really did a great job getting the nursery set up for our little boy! He put up the bead board and painted all himself. We used lime green and light blue with a frog theme. We used some nursery rhymes that my mom cross stitched when she was pregnant with me to decorate the walls. ( so special) I love to sit in there and rock and read to Joseph. It is such a fun room (probably my favorite in the house). The final touches were made today. Now all we need is him to decide to make his debut. I cant wait for him to see it! Thanks Joe for working so hard. I love you!

New to this

So, Joe and I have decided to start a blog before baby Joseph comes. We hope that our friends and family out of town can get a glimpse of what is going on in our lives. We are so excited about having our little boy and cant wait for him to get here. I am still working 32 hours a week and I enjoy it. The 12 hour shifts are a little long but I am surviving. Joe is loving his job as his business is growing like crazy. Overall, things are great and we are loving being married! I will try to keep up with blogging. I really have no idea how or what to blog so it should be interesting. Thanks Anna for getting us set up!
