Beautiful Angel

Drooling all over the place

Joseph got his first tooth!!! He was absolutely miserable. That tooth caused so much pain!! I felt so bad for him :( Once it broke through the gums, he was back to his normal happy self! They say the 1st tooth is the hardest so lets hope that is true!!
He is now sitting up so well that we put him in the grocery cart and high chairs at restaurants! He loves looking around and studying everything and everybody. This is such a fun age!!
Easter was great! Mommo (Joe's mom) came and stayed with us and got to spend some time with Joseph. We had a fabulous time on Easter with my family as well.
Joseph went on his first boat trip yesterday and fell asleep before we even left the dock! He loved to sound of the motor!! It hummed him right to sleep. It wasn't long before the Blue Angels (an acrobatic jet team) woke him up. He was terrified!! I felt like the worst mom ever. Poor baby was scared to death!! I hope it didn't scar him for life!!

Pictures for fun!

Just wanted to share a few more pictures of Joseph as he is getting soooo BIG!!! He loves to ride in his car every night when daddy gets home. He is sitting up ALL by himself now. And I make him do silly things and take pictures of him all day long :) Today his Easter basket came in, so I couldn't resist...

Better watch out

I am sitting all by myself!!!

Can't wait for Easter!!

Isn't he the cutest!!!

Ty boy about to throw a snowball

Man, who knew that you dont even have time to go to the bathroom much less blog when you have a baby!! They sure are cute but very time consuming!!! Joe and I have had so much fun with Joseph. He is growing into the happiest little boy and it is so nice to finally be over the colicky period!! He has this sweet smile when you come and get him out of bed in the morning. Like he missed you so much. He loves to stand in his exersaucer and bounce and play. He still is hating tummy time but we did finally get him to start rolling over! When he sits on your lap he rocks back and forth like he wants to get going. I know I will be in trouble when the crawling begins!! There is no stopping this boy. He is pretty hard headed. (wonder where he got that from) Joseph absolutely loves his bathtime. This summer is going to be so much fun cause I just know that he will love the pool.
February was full of fun. Joseph's aunt Mandy, uncle Mac, and cousins Ty and Griff came to stay with us for a weekend. Joseph loves his cousins soooo much. They are so entertaining! Plus it snowed while they were here! It was so much fun! A few weeks later we were in 70 degree weather at the beach house with BB, GP, Aunt Cog, Uncle Tradd, and Finn. Joseph loves his cousin Finn. They are gonna be best buds. It will be cool when Finn realizes that Joseph exists!! I cant believe how fast Joseph is growing up!! It is sorta sad!! But I am loving every minute staying home with him and am so blessed to have this time.

It's been too long

So much has happened in the last 6 weeks. I dont know where to begin. Joseph's cousin Finn was born December 18th. Joseph sat in the waiting room for 12 hours waiting for Finn to be born and did not close his eyes once!!! As soon as he saw Finn was okay he passed out!! Too cute.

Then we had Christmas at BB and GP's house. Mommo came to town and stayed with us. Joseph was spoiled and loved his first Christmas. He dressed in his tux that his daddy bought him :) Too Funny.

We went to Columbia for New Years Eve to have a late Christmas with Joseph's cousins Ty and Griff. They love Joseph so much. It is adorable to see them all together.

While we were in Columbia Joseph developed a fever. He continued to have fever that Monday when we got home so we took him to the doctor. The doctor said it must be a virus. Long story short, he had a fever for the next 10 days but acted fine. He saw the doctor 3 times and they didnt find anything wrong with him. On Sunday we went and got prayer at church for his fever. That night my dad suggested we try a different thermometer. The different thermometer showed that he had no fever. Joe went and got a third thermometer and he didnt have a fever after all! He had received tylenol every 4 hours for 10 days and never needed it once!!

So most of you know that Joseph was a colicky baby and we had not been successful with him sleeping in his crib throughout the night. We decided this is the time we were going to stick to our guns. So he did great for a week sleeping 10-11 hours in his crib at night then he really got sick. For the last week he had a double ear infection, conjunctivitis and a severe cough and cold. This made us feel bad to let him cry in his crib so back to square one with him sleeping with me on the couch or in the swing. (His places of comfort)

This week Joseph is well and sleeping in his crib as of last night. We started rice cereal this week too! Enjoy these pics from the last month! (They are in order most recent to the past)

Mommo and Pop are so in Love with the new boy!

The last time Pop was able to hold Joseph

It has been a hectic month for us. We are so sad to have lost Big Joe (Joseph's Pop) to brain cancer on November 28th.We will miss him greatly but we know that he loved Jesus with all his heart and he is resting with Him. We were so blessed to have had him in our lives. He was such an amazing father, grandfather and friend. We are so glad that he was there to see Joseph's birth. Joseph was named after 4 wonderful men and has big shoes to fill!! Thanks to all for your prayers and support during this tough time. We couldn't have made it through without you.
